Lucille was born March 6, 1923 to Claude and Mary Francis (Graham) Salyer in Odessa, Missouri. She attended school through the 10th grade in Odessa. She Traveled to Montana to visit her sister where she met Wilfred Tremblay. They were married November 18, 1942 in Havre, and farmed 40 miles south of Malta for 2 years before Wilfred was drafted into the Navy in 1944. Lucille and their newborn son Adrian spent about 2 years near Albany, CA to be near Wilfred until he was discharged in 1946. They moved back home to the Malta farm. Lucille loved her little house on the prairie and the way of life, even though it was hard work. She loved to garden, and the end results were always prepared to perfection. She loved to hunt, fish, and be camp cook with her family in the early years. They were good times. After moving to town in the early 80’s, Lucille still gardened up a storm. She enjoyed crosswords, puzzles, and her card parties. She had a soft spot for animals, always taking in or feeding strays. Underneath that hard shell was a tender heart always there for someone in need.
She is survived by four sons, Adrian (Bonnie), Gary (Nancy) of Malta, Steve (Barb) of Dodson, and George of Glasgow; two daughters, Linda (Jerry) Koski of Glasgow and Karen (Dean) Burgett of Lewistown; one special nephew Doug Barret and one special adopted daughter, Carol Smith; numerous grandkids, great grandkids, and great-great grandkids with extended relatives in Missouri and other states. She loved each and every one of them very much. Lucille was preceded in death by Wilfred, husband of 45 years in 1987.

I will miss my old friend Lucille; who I first met when I taught school at Midale in 1962/63. We got along great, as I grew up in a similar setting. Lucille and Wilfred and kids always made me feel like one of their family. Condolences to all the kids and their families. she is in a better place, and having a great time !
