Leonard was born Oct. 24, 1940 in Malta, to Hubert and Evelyn (Bronson) Link of the Wagner Community. One of four children, he attended school at Wagner and in Malta, graduating from Malta High School in 1958.

When Leonard was 13 years old, he made a life-long commitment to serve the Lord. After high school, he worked at Beyers’ Husky, and at the Bowdoin Wildlife Refuge and for Montana Fisheries before attending Spokane Business College in Spokane, Wash. and the Billings Business College. He then offered his life to God in the ministry, and spent over 30 years preaching the simple gospel of Jesus Christ. He fully intended to spend his whole life in the ministry, but because of health reasons, and the failing health of his parents, he left that work in 1996 to come back home. He became a CNA and worked at the Good Samaritan Retirement Center for 11 years until his retirement about five years ago.

Lennie was preceded in death by his father (1995), mother (2008), and older brother Marvin (2007).

Survivors include his sister, Leola Milks, and brother Lonnie (Linda) Link and Linda’s mom, Mabel Schenck of Malta, and Linda’s sister Susan (Ed) Sloan of Boise, ID; sister-in-law Dottie Link of Corbett, OR; nieces and nephews Leilani Robertson, Billings, Alan (Annette) Milks, Pryor, Lane Link and Leanne Pfeifer, Billings, and Lori (Mark) Harris, Gresham, OR; great-nieces and nephews Blake, Brian and Katelyn Robertson, Danielle and Amber Pfeifer, Jordan and Taylor Milks, and Kelsie Harris; cousins Lila Licht, Leon Kovach, Malta, and Arlen (Agnes) Kovach, Billings, and Valda Anderson and Ruth Surgoyne of Enumclaw, Wash.; and a host of dear friends.

Lennie was a classmate from the great class of 1958. When he worked at the Good Sam he cared for my dad, Pete Stewart, and was so kind, compassionate and gentle. I'm so sorry that he is gone but we'll see him again in heaven.

To Lennie's family,
He is still ministering, it's just in a serene setting now most likely as he envisioned it would be.
Such a ready smile, one couldn't help but return it. He will be remembered with fondness.

To Lennie's Family,
Lennie and I graduated in 1958 and I remember him as being so gentle and kind. I tried to think of a conversation we might have had but I can only recall is warm smile as he passed me in the hall. I am sorry that I did not get to know him better. He surely served his Lord with grace and those the ministered to were blessed.
My condolences to his family. This world has lost a very special person.
Fondly,
Shirley Oscarson Wood
