2011. Leah suffered fatal injuries due to a car crash near
Harlem.Wake services will be 7:00 P.M., Monday, August 8, 2011 at the Red Whip Community Center. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, August 9 at the Red Whip Community Center. Leah Faliz Castillo Horn (Mato Ucinja, “Bobtail Bear”) was born November 1, 1991 to Andrea Lynn Castillo and Kermit Gene Horn at Northern Montana Hospital, a beautiful little angel with tons of black hair. God took Leah home on Saturday, August 6, 2011. Leah suffered fatal injuries due to a car crash near Harlem at approximately 2 pm.
She was raised at Fort Belknap. Leah attended Fort Belknap Head Start, Harlem Elementary, Harlem Junior High and part of Harlem High School. She graduated from Riverside Indian School in Anadarko, Oklahoma in March 2010.In June 2011, Leah graduated from MSU-Northern with her CNA license. She was planning to move to Great Falls to begin a new job.
Leah spent her time hanging with her special cousin/sister Amy; if you want to know what they did specifically, ask Amy! LOL. She also spent her time cruising with Meat Head, Hippo, Todd and Randall. You could find her most days at the casino; her favorite games were Merlin and Ghost Bear. Leah was quiet and shy with a heart of gold.
She is survived by her significant other, Jason Birdtail Jr.( Meat Head); her beautiful, beautiful daughter, Amare Jean; her mom, Andrea Castillo of Chinook; her dad, Kermit Horn of Harlem; her brothers, Felix(Jessica) Castillo, Ramon and Eric Horn of Wyoming; her sisters, Kelsey and Morgan Horn; her special cousin/sister, Amy Murdock; her grandpa Gilbert Horn Sr.; her grandparents Toney Sr. and Joyce Castillo; her Godparents Ed Sr. and Julia Doney, all of Fort Belknap; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Leah is preceded in death by paternal grandmother, Liz Horn; maternal grandmother, Edith Earthboy; maternal grandfathers, James Walls Sr. and James Earthboy; great-grandparents, Ramon and Felice Castillo; uncle, Bill Walls; cousins, George Michael Blackbird IV and Alex Marie Castillo.
