When asked how she would like to be remembered she said, “A kind and grateful lady, a caregiver, good cook and that I gave it all I had.” Katie was the rock the ranch was built on. She loved to tap her toes to good music. She always had the coffee pot hot and was there to serve all who came. She cooked continually and her bookkeeping was immaculate. She was the glue that kept us altogether. She wrote letters weekly to her daughters. On the day of her death she repeatedly said she wanted to go home, and she did.

Katie said: “say Good-By to all my friends and family, see you!”

Our condolences to the Blatter family. We are saddened for your loss. Katie was always good and kind to me and I will always remember that. And as far as her bookkeeping, I can vouch for her immaculate bookkeeping.
Our prayers and thoughts are with you all.
"Say hi to Ike for me Katie."

Katie was Katie, the best, at anything she did, played a mean card game, and so friendly, ready to give all and ask nothing in return.
