WHITEWATER-Joe
(Joey) Ramirez, 43, died Tuesday, November 15, 2011, in an
accident south of Whitewater, at the intersection of S 208 and
Highway 191.Memorial service will be Friday, November 25, at 11:00 A.M. at the Kirkwood Memorial Chapel in Malta. Interment of his cremated remains will be in the Malta Cemetery. Condolences for the family may be left at www.kirkwoodfuneralhome.com. Kirkwood Funeral Home of Malta is in charge of arrangements.
Joey was born November 23, 1967 to Jose (Joe) and Amelia Soria Ramirez and was raised and attended school in California. He spent the last few years working for 21 Construction. He enjoyed drawing music, Bar-B-Qing, spending time on the river bank fishing, and hunting. He liked working outside and keeping his yard neat, and was willing to help anyone who needed it. He loved nothing more than attending the programs and games the kids participated in. He was one of their best cheer leaders.
He is survived by his wife Berta, sons Henry, Colton and daughter Makayla, all of Whitewater; daughter, Jovanna (Jerret) Fenton, and grandson Jonas Fenton of Washington; his mother Amelia Ramirez; sisters, Mary (Ronnie) Walsh, Amelia (Ben) Dalia all of Atwater, California, Vernoica (Rick) Gonzales; brother Pete (Tina) Ramirez of Merced, California; mother-in-law, Cheri LaBrie of Malta; sister’s-in-law, Robin (Gary) Peterson of Havre, Karen (Denny) Salsbery of Malta, brother’s-in-law, Ryan (Lynnel) LaBrie of Malta, Kris (Tricia) LaBrie of Whitewater, many aunts, uncles and cousins in California and Arizona; also all of his nieces and nephews that will miss him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Ramirez, brother, Henry Carrillo, sister, Lupe Martinez and brother-in-law, Randy LaBrie.
