Murdock 69, a homemaker died Monday, February 21 at the Billings
Clinic from complications following a heart attack. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Monday, February 28 at the Malta Lutheran Church in Malta. A luncheon will follow the services at the church fellowship hall. Cremation will follow the service. Condolences for the family may be left at www.kirkwoodfuneralhome.com. Kirkwood Funeral Home of Malta is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include her husband, William Murdock of Malta; daughters, Brenda (Greg) Kornfeld of Val Marie, Sask., Zelda (Joey) Fox of Havre; grandchildren, Clay Murdock of Missoula, William Cole Murdock, Cade Murdock both of Huntley, Colt Kornfield of Val Marie, Sask, Zeena Fox of Havre; brothers, Ira Grove of Rantoul, Illinois, Bryon Grove of California, sister-in-law, Jean Mae Fontis of Washington; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Anna Charlotte Grove, grandchildren Chelsa Jeannette Ludwig, Kayla Lorraine Ludwig, Christopher William Ludwig; brother Ewart Grove, Glenn Grove, Eldon Grove.
Jeannette was born December 11, 1941 in Malta, the daughter of William and Anna Charlotte (Bjorklund) Grove. She was raised and graduated from Whitewater High School. She married William Murdock on March 11, 1960 in Malta. She worked in the IGA and as a Phillips County Dispatcher for many years. Jeannette was very involved with her daughters and grandchildren and was secretary for the Kids Rodeos and Team Roping. A member of the Loring Lutheran Church she was also active in the Loring Women’s Club, Quilting by the Border, Woman’s Club Card Marathon and the Malta Red Hat Society.
