POLE-Daniel Dean Messerly, Jr., 33, a construction worker died
Monday, December 26 in an automobile accident near Zortman.Wake rosary will be 7:00 P.M., Thursday, December 29, at St. Paul’s Mission in Hays. Funeral Mass will be 11:00 A.M., Friday, Dec. 30, at St. Paul’s Mission. Interment will be in the Messerly Family Cemetery in Hays. Condolences for the family may be left at www.kirkwoodfuneralhome.com. Kirkwood Funeral Home of Malta is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his common law wife, Jessie Leeann Manuel of Lodge Pole; daughters, Danielle K. and Taylee M. Messerly and unborn daughter due in the spring all of Lodge Pole; parents Daniel D. and Ramona K. (Mount) Messerly Sr. of Hays; brothers, Glen (Paige) Messerly, Sr. of Havre, Antonio Messerly of Hays; sisters, Sheila (Brandon) Messerly-Crasco of Beaver Creek, Jennifer Messerly, Breann Messerly both of Hays, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Daniel “Lil Man” was born February 20, 1978 at Fort Belknap, the son of Daniel Dean and Ramona Kathryn (Mount) Messerly, Sr. He was raised in Hays and graduated from Hays High School in 1997. He enjoyed boxing, basketball, hunting and fishing. Lil Man work in construction and enjoyed being a mechanic for family and friends. He was a family man and loved being with his wife and daughters and was looking forward to the new daughter due in the spring. Respectful to his elders, he was always willing to help them, his brothers and sisters and any of his extended family.
