R. Campbell, 68, a school activities bus driver, died Saturday,
October 22, in Missoula of an apparent heart attack.Memorial services will be 2:00 P.M., Thursday, October 27, at the Kirkwood Memorial Chapel, cremation will follow the services. The family will receive friends at 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Condolences for the family may be left at www.kirkwoodfuneralhome.com. Kirkwood Funeral Home of Malta is in charge of arrangements.
Art was born July 21, 1943 in Anaconda, the son of Benajiah and Margaret C (Montgomery) Campbell. He was raised and graduated from the Anaconda High School in 1961. Art went to California after graduation and worked as a vegetable seed harvester for green houses and gardeners. He also worked in mine for a short time along with a number of different jobs. Art married Deborah E. Blundred in Malta on December 23, 1967. Art worked a laborer for a number of places in Malta. He drove for Malta Ready Mix for 23 years, was a relief snow plow driver for the state for a few years. His favorite job for the last 4 years has been a school activities bus driver. Art loved the mountains, hunting and fishing. His brother taught him how to tie fly’s and he was very good at it, his flies looked just like the real ones. His grandchildren were very special to him. He also loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle.
Survivors include his wife, Debbie; son Martin Campbell and daughter Melissa Campbell all of Malta, brother, Robert Campbell of Colorado Springs, Co, sister, Margaret Bowers of Anaconda; four grandchildren

Art was the best bus driver ever. He made sure the team arrived to the destination safely and happily. He showed love like noneother to us players and for that we loved him!! Every time I seen art I gave him a big ole hug and a smile. I'm sorry for your loss and always remember that he is in our hearts :)
