In the early morning hours of March 3rd, Eva passed quietly
into the arms of the Lord with her daughter, Diana, by her side.
Eva was born on April 24, 1928 in Pasadena, California to
Norman I & Marion (Duerr) Gifford. She was raised in Pasadena
where she developed a passion for animals, especially horses,
and her love of singing which lasted her entire life. She
graduated from Downey High School in 1946 and the attended
Pasadena Junior College. During her time at college she had an
opportunity to pursue her singing career with a group overseas
but she declined the offer.
November 4, 1950 she married Don Robinson in Pasadena. They met
when they were both working at Eaton’s Dude Ranch in Wolf,
Wyoming. They moved back to the Miles City area where Don worked
on the family ranch and then for Bob Hardy until the Robinson
Brothers bought the ranch at Zortman in 1958. Eva worked on the
ranch, raising horses and sheep along with taking care of
whatever stray animals came along. She was very involved with
