J. Kroll, 71, former
Glasgow
resident and homemaker died Monday, September 28, at her home in
Malta
of an apparent heart attack.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M., Saturday, October 3, at the
Kirkwood Memorial Chapel in
Malta
. Interment will follow the services the
Malta
Cemetery

Survivors include her husband, Al Kroll of Malta; sons, Kim Kroll of
Malta, Douglas (Kelly) Kroll of Reston, Virginia; brothers, Robert
Schlieve of Havre, Gary Schlieve of Malta; sisters, Frances Larson of
Yakima, Washington, Shirley Kirkhan of Sunnyside, Washington, Lorraine
Watson of Malta; grandchildren, Avila, Tracy, David and Katie; numerous
nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and
brother, Arthur Schlieve Jr.
Ruby was born November 26, 1937 in
Malta
, the daughter of Arthur H and J. Etta (Stearns) Schlieve. She was
raised and educated and graduated from the
Malta
High School
in 1956. She married Alphonse Kroll on December 9, 1957 in Havre. The
lived in Havre and she worked at the Gambles Store in the early
1960’s. They later moved to
Glasgow
. She was hired by the Pehlke’s Furniture as a sells person in the
early 70’s. They moved back to
Malta
in 1998 after Al retired. Ruby enjoyed her yard and growing flowers. She
won “Yard of the Year” one time in
Glasgow
. Al built her a yard swing so she could watch the birds enjoying her
yard and all the bird houses that Al also built.
