Pearl “Pearlie” Taylor, 94, a nurse, rancher, farmer and
homemaker, died at her daughter’s home north of
Saco
, on Wednesday, May 20, 2009 of “Old Age”.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at the
Kirkwood Memorial Chapel in
Malta
. Visitation will be Monday, May 25 from 9:00 A.M. till 5:00 P.M.
at the chapel. Interment will be in the
Malta
Cemetery

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Roberta Pearl
(Bruce) Warren of Whitewater; grandchildren Catherine (Bryan Hunt)
Warren of Wilsall, Robert (Jodi) Kurtz of Billings, Paul Warren
and Jeret Warren of Whitewater; great grandchildren, Paige
Carter-Kurtz, Brooklyne Forshee-Kurtz, Hunter Forshee-Kurtz, and
Alicia Pearl Hunt, sisters-in-law, Barbara Pearl of
Scotsguard

Sask
, Gene Taylor of St. Paul, MN; brother-in-law, Tom Taylor of
Malta; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death
by her husband, Robert E. Taylor in 1994, son, Marvin Paul Taylor
in 1957;brothers, Edward, Floyd, and Dick; sisters, Winona and
Wilma.

. After her high school in 1934 she attended
Sacred
Heart
Nursing
School
in Havre.
After
receiving her Nursing Degree in 1939 she returned to
Canada
to work in small community hospitals in
Alberta
&
Saskatchewan
during WWII. She married Robert Taylor on October 24, 1951 on her
family’s farm near Scotsguard. She and Robert made their home on
a ranch South of Malta. She worked the ranch with him and also
worked as a nurse at the
Phillips
County
Hospital
and the
Good
Samaritan
Center
from 1952 until retirement in 1997. Besides being a homemaker
Pearlie was active in the American Red Cross, American Heart
Association, National Farmers Union and the Cowbells. She was the
faithful “Fair Nurse” for 25 years, enjoying the time to catch
up with her friends and neighbors. Pearlie enjoyed reading,
sewing, gardening, and being out doors. Sharing time with her
grand children was always special, and she was an avid attendee
and supporter of whatever they were doing, be it cross-country,
basketball, track, 4-H. or music.
