MALTA-Lynda
J. Hoover, 70, manager of the work activity center at Malta
Opportunities Inc., died Sunday, November 29, at the
Phillips
County
Hospital
of natural causes.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Thursday, Dec. 3, at the Malta
Assembly of God Church. Interment will follow in the
Malta
Cemetery
. Visitation will be all day Wednesday, with family receiving friends at
7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Kirkwood Funeral Home of Malta in charge

Survivors include her son, Jeff Hoover of
Billings;
Step-daughters, Debbie Taylor of Saco, Donna Biem of Havre
; mother, Mary E. Moore of Malta; sister, Sharon (Jerold) Graybill of
Pinehurst, Idaho, sister-in-law, Marjorie Hasler of Malta; grandson,
Jared Hoover of Texas; numerous nieces and nephews.
Lynda was born in
Malta
on June 19, 1939, the daughter of Oliver and Mary E. (Brown) Moore. Her
family moved to
Butte
where she graduated from high school in 1957. The moved to Hinsdale in
the late 1950’s, and later moved to
Malta
. She married Norman Hoover, on Jan. 9, 1964 in
Malta
. They farmed at Berg until 1975 when they moved to
Malta
. She managed the Great Northern for a number of years. For the last 20
years she has worked as manager of the work activity center at Malta
Opportunities Inc. Lynda had been called the Boss Lady for a number of
years. She liked collecting John Wayne memorabilia, Indian artifacts,
and traveling.
