In reading this
amazing obituary, we are reminded at how Duane's humility, common sense,
and compassion for others will be one of his enduring legacies for
Malta
and his friends and family. For three of us, all grandchildren to
Duane's sister Fern, much of what we know about our grandmother and
our family roots in
Malta
came from Duane's stories. For that, we will always be grateful.
Although we can't
make it to the funeral, LaVonne and the rest of the family are in our
thoughts and prayers.
