L. Oshio 56, an Army Veteran and construction worker, died Friday, Dec.
25, at a
Malta
nursing home of cancer.
No services are planned at this time. Cremation has taken place at the
Hi-Line Crematory in
Malta
. Kirkwood Funeral Home and Hi-Line Crematory are in charge of

Survivors include his children, Jeromiah Oshio of Shelby, Derek (Kandace)
Oshio of Malta, Jessica Oshio of Conrad; sisters, Paulette (Dan) Shores
of Malta, Charlotte Gladeau of
Nevada
; two grandchildren.
Brook was born July 21, 1953 in
Malta
, the only son of Paul and Harriet (Jensen) Oshio. He was raised in
Malta
and finished his high school in
Washington
. Brook served in the Army from October 1973 until Oct. 1975 and spent a
year and half over seas. When he got out of the service he worked as a
lumber jack and in construction. He married Rhonda Denny in 1978 in
Shelby
, they later divorced. Brook loved wood carving that he learned from his
father, fishing and hunting. He will be missed by his family and
friends.
