
MALTA-Paul
Lingohr, 88 years, a retired farmer and road construction worker, died
Monday, January 5, 2009 at the Phillips County Hospital of natural
causes.
There are no services planned at the time. Burial of his cremated
remains will be a later date in the old family cemetery in North Dakota.
Cremation has taken place at the Hi-Line Crematory. Adams Kirkwood
Funeral Home and Hi-Line Crematory are in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his sons, Dennis (Sue) Lingohr of Malta,
Kenneth (Susan) Lingohr, Larry Lingohr and Leon Lingohr all of Spokane;
sister, Mary West of Minot, North Dakota, four grandchildren, eight
great-grandchildren.
Paul was born March 2, 1920 in Orrin, North Dakota, the son of
Michael and Kathryn (Diebert) Lingohr. He was raised on the family farm.
Paul had farms in Philmore and Silva North Dakota. He married Leona
Wolfe in 1945 and they later divorced in 1965. After Paul left the farms
he worked in road construction for 25 years. He moved to Malta in 1983
to be close to his son and grandchildren. Paul worked for the Green
Thumb Project for 8 years. He loved going out to play cards and after
his health started to fail he would play solitaire at home. Paul enjoyed
walking down town to play cards and then walking around town, just to
see what was going on.
