ZORTMAN-Joyce
A. Azure, 76, a homemaker, died Friday, February 20, 2009 at a
Vancouver, Washington hospital from cancer.
No services are planned at this time. Cremation has taken place
under the direction of Adams Kirkwood Funeral Home and Crematory of
Malta, Montana.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law Karen and Reuben
Gosney of Ridgefield, Washington; 7 grandchildren and 22
great-grandchildren; life partner Sanford Azure of Zortman. She was
preceded in death by daughters Teresa Ann Smith-Capcha and Deborah Lynn
Dains and one grandchild Andrew Jo Dains.
Joyce was born October 8, 1932 in Tazewell, Illinois the daughter
of Howard and Lillian (Cooley) Neblock. After high school Joyce lived
and worked in several places and spent many years in Vancouver. She met
and later married Sanford Azure and moved to Zortman. They later
divorced but remained the best of friends and lifelong partners. Joyce
had been in Washington to receive medical help and to be close to her
family.
