

SACO-Hazel Lorreane Simpson Woodall, 75, passed away of
natural causes, Sunday February 22, 2009. She was surrounded by loving
family.
Funeral
services for Hazel are set for 2pm Thursday, February 26, 2009 at
the Saco Methodist Church. Burial will be at the Grandview Cemetery in
Saco, with reception to follow at the I.O.O.F. Hall in Saco. Memorial
maybe made to the McLaughlin Research Institute, 1520 23rd

She
is survived by children: Bonnie (Mike) Bunk of Baker, MT, Betty (Robert)
Plouffe of Saco, Wayne "Woody" Woodall of Saco, Kathy Woodall
of Saco and Joyce (Ross) Simser of Malta, brothers Larry (Phyllis)
Simpson of Saco and Irvin Simpson of Malta. She is also survived by 11
grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren and longtime special friend
Harold "H.D." Hendrickson and numerous relatives she liked to
keep in touch with. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and
Grace Simpson, brothers, Clarence Simpson and Elwood Simpson and sister,
Myrna Erickson.
Hazel
was born September 28, 1933, north of Hinsdale, MT to Walter and Grace (Zieger)
Simpson. She was raised east of Bowdoin and attended 12 years of school
in Saco, Montana. In the fall of 1952 she moved to Great Falls, MT and
worked for Blue Cross Insurance until 1955. She married Earl Woodall
(they later divorced) in Vernon, TX. They returned to Glasgow, MT where
she worked for Glasgow Bakery and Avco at the Air Base. In 1972 they
moved to Saco. While in Saco she worked at the Sleeping Buffalo,
O’Brien’s Café, Jake’s Bar, and Pay-n-Save Grocery Store. During
all of this, she raised five wonderful children.
Hazel
enjoyed playing softball, golfing, square dancing, quilting, sewing,
playing cards, and crocheting. She loved watching her children and
grandchildren participate in sports and extra curricular activities.
Throughout her life she made many lifelong friends. She loved being a
member of the Saco Rebekah’s. She could always be counted on to lend a
hand when needed.
