MALTA-Beth L. Lefdahl,
84 years, a homemaker, died Monday, February 16, 2009, at the Hi-Line
Retirement Center of natural causes.
Memorial services will be 2:00 P.M., Thursday, February 19, at
Adams Kirkwood Memorial Chapel. Reverend Bob Nagy will be officiating.
Interment will be at a later date in the Malta Cemetery. Condolences may

Survivors include her husband, Lloyd Lefdahl of Malta; children,
Rhonda Molloy (Dan) of Billings, Regan Lefdahl (Rene) of Pine Heaven,
Wyo.; Vaughn Lefdahl of Absorkee, Mont; Vic Lefdahl (Mary) of Saco; Arne
Lefdahl of South Malta; brothers
and sisters, Louie Hershman (JoAnn) of Fort Benton, Mont.; Bertha
Whitney (Ray) of Great Falls; Delores Edwards of Glasgow; Orpha Edgren
of Polson; grandchildren, Eric Lefdahl (Stephanie), Michelle Farr (Tom),
Erin Davis(Todd), Rana Jesson (Bill), Marne Molloy, Ryan Lefdahl
(Jessica), Sean Molloy (Yumi), Kirsten Albus (Aaron), Andrena Lefdahl,
Reagan Lefdahl, Derek Lefdahl (Kristie); great-grandchildren, Caira,
Jade, Deion, Caden, Cameron, Sloan, Shealah, Brady, Caleb, Skylie, Clay,
and Ivan. She was preceded in death by her parents Louis and Bessie
Hershman, sisters, Elva Cronkite, Hazel Janes Newton, and Dottie Manley.
Beth was born January 25, 1925 in Malta, the daughter of Louis
and Bessie (Mummy) Hershman. She was raised and educated in Malta area
and graduated from Malta High School. She married Lloyd Lefdahl on
December 7, 1944 in Malta and they made their home 15 miles South of
Malta in Bennett Lake Community; later moving to Malta for their kids to
finish school. Beth enjoyed cooking for branding and harvest crews, also
entertaining friends and family. Beth loved being a mother, gardening,
singing, dancing and decorating her home. Most of all she cherished
beings Lloyd’s wife and best friend for over 64 years.
